Cold fermentation and refinement in stainless steel thus make it possible to obtain a wine characterised by a fine aromatic component. The nose is intriguing and pleasant: fruity notes reminiscent of pomegranate, pink grapefruit, wild strawberries, green apple and pear stand out. Tuscan IGT, this modern red wine has a strong character and is able to tell the story of its strong bond with its territory of origin. It is made from a selection of international grapes, Merlot and Syrah, called upon to support the prince of central Italy's native vines, the rustic Sangiovese. The grapes, harvested at different times and vinified separately by variety, give their best, contributing to the creation of a particularly well-balanced blend, with elegant aromatic characteristics and particularly soft tannins. At the end of malolactic fermentation, the wine begins a long period of ageing in the cellar, which ends with bottling and final release. Ruby red with violet hues, Fattoria Le Maestrelle's nose reveals itself to be intense and complex, with notes of ripe red fruit, well combined with sensations of juniper berries, mint, vanilla and coffee. In the mouth it is balanced, soft and savoury, with a complex finish reminiscent of the notes perceived on the nose. Vin Santo della Valdichiana DOC is a precious wine that belongs to the Tuscan tradition. Always a companion for festivities, great occasions and conviviality, it is the result of a long process that involves drying the grapes, Malvasia and Trebbiano Toscano. Harvesting takes place directly in the drying trays to optimally preserve the integrity of the bunches. The actual drying process then lasts a few months, to concentrate the sugar in the grapes and thus obtain a scarce but very sweet must. This was then transferred into oak barrels where alcoholic fermentation took place, which ended spontaneously when the wine reached 12.5 degrees alcohol, preserving a natural residual sugar content. Finally, after an ageing period of several years, the wine is bottled and is ready to go on the market. Vin Santo Santa Cristina presents itself in the glass in an intense yellow colour with amber highlights. On the nose, traditional pastry aromas stand out with notes of sultanas, apricots, candied fruit and hints of macaroons. The palate is full-bodied and soft, with a distinct hint of apricots in syrup. Pleasant and balanced finish. Perfect with desserts and blue cheeses.

A Chianti, Classico in fact if not in origin, that comes from a skilful combination of Sangiovese and international vines. Chianti Superiore DOCG, a denomination that boasts almost a century of history, a wine characterised by pleasant drinkability, great freshness, and a deep bond with its territory of origin. In this case, the harvest begins with the picking of the international varieties and ends with the later-ripening Sangiovese, which reaches maturity between the end of September and mid-October. Upon arrival at the winery, the harvested grapes begin their journey with a maceration phase lasting 7-8 days, to best extract colour and soft tannins. This is followed by fermentation and, after racking, malolactic fermentation, which generally takes place in November. This is followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks and bottling. Ruby red in colour with violet hues, the nose of this Chianti reveals itself to be particularly rich, with fruity notes of morello cherry, aromatic herbs and balsamic sensations. In the mouth it is soft and enveloping, with velvety tannins and a long, savoury finish. This is the wine to accompany the classic grilled steak or with tasty cheeses and traditional cured meats. What do you do ‘ Thinking about Tuscany and not thinking about Vermentino ‘ Heaven forbid! This historic and traditional Tuscan variety, but not only, is enhanced by Santa Cristina's experience, becoming a pleasant wine with a fresh, mineral flavour. Toscana IGT, the harvest of grapes that have reached perfect ripeness takes place between the second and third week of September. Once in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and softly pressed. The must thus obtained is cooled to favour its natural clarification. This is followed by fermentation in steel tanks and subsequent ageing, again in steel, until bottling, which usually takes place at the beginning of the following spring. In the Santa Cristina Vermentino glass it has a typical straw-yellow colour. On the nose, intense floral notes of jasmine stand out, well in harmony with sensations of banana and melon. In the mouth, however, it is balanced, 'savoury' (as it is defined by its producers), with good freshness and, indeed, a distinct minerality. From the aperitif onwards, it is always the right time to uncork this Vermentino. It is always worth keeping a couple of bottles in the fridge. For a fish dinner, a snack with friends or an after dinner drink while planning your next holiday... in Tuscany!
