A wine, as is easy to guess from its name, made from grapes from the oldest vineyards on the estate. 'The taste of tradition', as it is described on the winery's website. At one time, this wine was produced using only 50 rows of vines, which, harvest after harvest, became stronger and more productive. Today, the best bunches from the oldest vineyards are selected. A wine of great structure, it is an important red, with a pleasant hint of red fruits and an interesting persistence in the mouth. Good today, this red can safely evolve for a few years in the cellar. Even five, its producers suggest. It should be uncorked to accompany a simple dinner, with traditional dishes. Excellent, for example, with classic roast chicken or risotto. Also try it with classic tortellini alla Bolognese.
