This cuvée is named after a small parcel in the Adrianna vineyard that is completely covered with white oval stones and was the site of an ancient river bed. The abundant stones provide optimal drainage and extreme temperatures. These stones absorb heat, moderate the nights, and function as ice cubes after a very cold night. Stony soil Malbecs tend to be extremely aromatic, rich and luxurious, just like Adrianna's River Stones Malbec. This wine can be enjoyed young or aged for decades.

The Adrianna vineyard is located at an altitude of almost 5,000 metres in the Gualtallary sub-district of the Tupungato region. The White Bones Chardonnay comes from selected rows within plot 1 of the Adrianna vineyard. The name refers to the soil beneath these rows, which is layered with limestone and limestone deposits and fossilised animal bones - remains of a river that passed through the region.
