Antinori's Peppoli comes from the estate of the same name located about 5 km from the prestigious Tignanello vineyard. The typical Peppoli blend foresees that most of the grapes used are Sangiovese, while the remainder is equally divided between Syrah and Merlot. The result is a powerful, elegant and pleasantly spicy wine. In the glass it is covered with a beautiful ruby cloak edged with violet reflections. The nose is complex and broad, with notes of juicy red fruit, such as cherries and raspberries, and more floral notes typical of Sangiovese. On the finish the toasted notes emerge nicely integrated with all the others. The mouthfeel is warm, with fine and elegant tannins. A long ending that goes on for several seconds.
