A wine that is surprising for its personality, unique and decisive. The vineyards are located between 200 and 400 metres above sea level, in an area with a predominantly south-westerly exposure. These optimal pedoclimatic conditions give the Slarina grapes, from which Avamposti Cerchi is made, unique and inimitable characteristics. Certainly not very well known, the Slarina vine is an autochthonous Piedmontese black berry, a true oenological jewel rediscovered in recent years. Slarina is distinguished by its rusticity and its ability to adapt to difficult soils, giving grapes rich in aromas and structure. Harvesting is done manually, in boxes, to preserve the integrity of the bunches. The grapes are then subjected to partial drying, which concentrates the aromas and sugars. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins lasting about 20 days. This is followed by ageing in French oak barriques for at least 12 months. Brilliant ruby colour, enhanced by violet reflections, on the nose this Piedmontese red reveals a wide range of spicy aromas, reminiscent of white pepper and cardamom, interwoven with well-integrated notes of toasted wood. In the mouth it conquers with its fruity and fresh character, supported by a marked acidity that balances well the delicate final sweetness. This does not come from residual sugar, but from the slow re-fermentation with the dried grapes, which gives the wine a soft, velvety body. Perfect with first courses with meat sauces, stews and mature or blue cheeses.

Riesling, a white grape variety originating in Germany, has found a second home in Italy, especially in some particularly suitable areas, where it is able to give elegant and long-lived wines. Harvesting is done manually, in crates, to best preserve the integrity of the bunches. The grapes are then subjected to a soft pressing and fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. A bottle ageing period of at least 6 months follows. In the glass Fontanino has a beautiful pale straw yellow colour, luminous and crystalline. The nose reveals a range of fine and delicate aromas, reminiscent of classic Riesling scents, from lime to balsamic notes and a hint of lemongrass. In the mouth, however, it conquers with its freshness and minerality. These characteristics make it ideal to accompany both fish and meat dishes, such as chicken and pork. Also excellent as an aperitif or to accompany fresh cheeses.
