Volnay is one of the noble communes of the Côte de Beaune of Burgundy. The Hautes-Côtes de Beaune is a sub-region of Burgundy, located west of the Côte de Beaune. A very interesting region covering the more hilly areas. Vineyards here are strictly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and there are specific Premier Crus. From there, the wine is then passed into oak vats to carry out malolactic fermentation. The result is a wine characterized by a beautiful straw-yellow color, with clear aromas of citrus and flowers. In the mouth, however, it is powerful and round, with pleasant hints of vanilla and wood due to the use of aging barrels.
