This Barbera d'Asti DOCG is a young and ready-to-drink red wine that best represents the characteristics of the noble Piedmontese native grape. A pure Barbera, in this case the vineyards insist on soils rich in limestone and clay, at an altitude of approximately 250 metres above sea level. Vinification in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, the skins macerate for about 10-15 days in contact with the must. During this phase, pumping over and oxygenation are carried out to favour the extraction of colour and aromas. This is followed by racking and malolactic fermentation to increase the softness of the wine. In the glass it has a beautiful intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose has broad, fruity aromas with notes of blackberry, fresh cherries, wisteria, sweet tobacco and liquorice. In the mouth it is full, dry, savoury and fresh, with a balanced and persistent finish. Ideal throughout a meal, this Barbera goes well with stuffed pasta dishes with meat sauce, main courses of red meat and medium-aged cheeses. A versatile and pleasant wine, it is perfect to accompany everyday convivial occasions.
