The name refers to the soil beneath these rows, which is layered with limestone and limestone deposits and fossilised animal bones - remains of a river that passed through the region.

Alamos Selección Malbec is a red wine produced in the Mendoza region of Argentina. A pure Malbec, it represents a particularly interesting expression of this variety due to its origin. The altitude of the vineyards, together with the considerable temperature range between day and night, contribute to producing high quality grapes. The cooler temperatures favour the concentration of anthocyanins, polyphenolic elements present in the grape skins, which give the wine its intense colour. In addition, the naturally humidity-free environment helps prevent the spread of fungi and fungal diseases, reducing the need for chemical treatments. After the harvest, the grapes are carefully selected and brought to the winery. After destemming, they undergo low-temperature maceration to extract colour and aromatic substances. The subsequent alcoholic fermentation takes place in thermoregulated tanks and, after malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for about a year in medium toasted French barrels. The result is an exceptional and refined red, characterised by a lively and concentrated colour, with clearly recognisable aromas of flowers and fresh fruit. A wine that embodies the Argentine wine tradition at its best and is a real must for Malbec enthusiasts.

Cota 500 is an interesting red from Syrah, produced by Andes Plateau in a very special place. We are in Chile, at the foot of the Andes mountain range. Here the soils are alluvial in origin and allow excellent water filtration. We are in the Cachapoal Valley, characterised by high temperatures in the summer and abundant rainfall in the winter, perfect components for creating an excellent red wine. The Syrah grapes, selected and harvested by hand, are taken to the winery for vinification. About 30% of the bunches are processed with the stalks. The yeasts used to start fermentation are indigenous and no chemicals are used in the cellar, apart from a small amount of sulphur dioxide, used just before bottling. Finally, Cota 500 Syrah is aged in wood for just under a year. Full-bodied and succulent, this Andean red has a pleasantly smooth taste, with ripe tannins and typical fruity and ground black pepper hints. It is a red wine that cries out for pairing with grilled red meat dishes.
