60% Nero d'Avola and the rest is Cabernet Sauvignon. This is how the Cygnus produced by Tasca d'Almerita in the marvellous Regaleali estate was born, from this profoundly Sicilian blend. Curiosity: this wine is dedicated to Richard Wagner, who in 1881 completed the drafting of the third act of "Parsifal", right in the garden of Villa Tasca in Palermo. In the glass it is a beautiful deep ruby red colour. The nose contains vegetable notes, with typical Cab Sauvignon notes of bell pepper and tomato leaf, which are joined by the more typical Nero d'Avola recognitions such as red fruit. In the mouth it is powerful and structured, thanks to the moderate passage in wood that also gives it a long and pleasant finish.

"Lamùri", or the love that the Tasca family puts into all its wines. This is how the description of this fabulous Nero d'Avola starts, with a real declaration of love. Perhaps one of the most appreciated products from this Sicilian company. The result of careful vinification, this red wine undergoes a careful period of maturation in wood that does not affect the freshness of the varietal aromas. In the glass it is a beautiful, intense ruby red colour with brilliant hues. The nose is reminiscent of red fruit ripened thanks to the beautiful Sicilian sun, with a slight hint of spice and vanilla. In the mouth it is well structured, soft and balanced.

A very special wine, the result of a skilful blend of Catarratto grapes for the most part, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon and even a hint of aromatic Traminer. Is it ever possible to conceive a wine as pandering as this one ‘ In the glass it is a beautiful straw yellow colour with clear greenish reflections that immediately bring us back to the cool climate of the hillside vineyards from which the grapes used to produce this wine come. The nose is appropriately broad and varied. It goes from the finer notes of grapefruit and green apple, to the sweeter and more pungent notes of tropical fruits, such as pineapple or mango. The mouthfeel is fresh, pleasantly soft but above all rich. The finish lingers on for a long time, making each sip even more enjoyable.

A dry and fine white wine, Le Blanc d'Aiguilhe is produced by Chteau d'Aiguilhe. We are in the heart of the renowned Bordeaux wine region, where red wines from Cabernet and Merlot sit alongside white and sweet wines from varieties such as Sauvignon and Sémillon. But let us proceed in order. This wine is the child of a unique terroir, characterised by a limestone-clay soil rich in minerals. The grape variety, Sauvignon Blanc, gives the wine a fresh, aromatic and elegant character. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks followed by a period of ageing on the fine lees, enhancing the aromatic qualities of the wine. The result ‘ In the glass, this Blanc d'Aiguilhe has a beautiful, bright golden yellow colour. On the nose, an aromatic and elegant bouquet, with notes of lemon, green apple, lime leaf and elderflower. In the mouth, however, it wins you over with its freshness and balance. The pleasant acidity gives the wine liveliness and persistence. A versatile white, this Sauvignon Blanc can be served as an aperitif. On the table, it goes well with light and tasty dishes, also from ethnic cuisines. Try it with wok-fried vegetables, fish dishes, asparagus and salads.

Etna is the new Eden of Sicilian wine. The great volcano that dominates the eastern side of the island not only offers an unparalleled wealth of soils, but also provides unique climatic conditions. Climbing its slopes, the stifling heat of Sicily gives way to a decidedly milder climate. The summit of the volcano is often even covered with snow and the grapes grown here enjoy an ideal temperature range between day and night which prolongs the ripening period, ensuring the development of aromas and flavours. The family of Count Tasca also owns some vineyards on the volcano. Here excellent wines are produced from vines native to Etna. Like this Ghiaia Nera that expresses all the impetuosity of the estate's youngest vineyards, cultivated with Nerello Mascalese grapes. The result is a dry and elegant red, characterized by a light ruby colour and an absolutely incredible bouquet, dominated by crunchy and tasty red fruits, sweet spices and an interesting mineral note that immediately brings to mind the tongues of lava that slowly descend the slopes of the volcano. On the palate it is fresh and juicy. Rich but not opulent. Balanced and pleasant from the first sip.

An angel whispers in our ear to taste this wine. And we should always listen to the angels! Cotes de Provence Rosé "Whispering Angel" is a fine example of Rosé de Provence, produced by Chteau d'Esclans. Son of a blend of 70% Grenache grapes, 20% Cinsault and the rest Vermentino. An incredibly delicate wine, produced with all due care to preserve the freshness and pleasantness of the initial fruit. Harvested by hand, only in the morning, to avoid the hottest hours of the day. Super soft pressing and delicate colouring obtained without any maceration of the skins. This is followed by a slow fermentation and maturation on its fine lees, in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The result is a very pleasant wine. Fresh and light, in the glass it has an incredible soft pink colour. On the nose, fruity notes reminiscent of red berries, currants, raspberry. Then fresh citrus and exquisite balsamic notes. In the mouth it is savoury and naturally endowed with a fine acidity that makes it so darn easy to drink. Excellent as an aperitif, on the table it requires a delicate pairing with fish dishes. 100% Chardonnay from the beautiful Dolomite vineyards. We are talking about TrentoDoc Brut Riserva Conti d'Arco, a Metodo Classico sparkling wine with great personality. A versatile bubble of great class. But let us proceed with order. The Chardonnay grapes in this case sink their roots into variable soils, ranging from basaltic to porphyritic with schistose matrices. A geological mosaic that gives the wine minerality and complexity. The vineyards are located between 300 and 600 metres above sea level, where they enjoy a cool, breezy climate with significant temperature excursions that favour a slow and aromatic ripening of the grapes. But if the raw material is of a high standard, the careful processing in the cellar also allows it to be exploited to the full. In this case, in fact, Conti d'Arco's TrentoDoc Brut Riserva rests on the lees for at least 36 months to develop a complex and refined bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit, bread crust and hints of minerals. Its fine and persistent perlage allows hints of ripe yellow fruit, citrus fruits, white flowers and delicate mineral notes to be clearly perceived. In the mouth, however, it is above all harmonious and balanced, with a pleasant freshness and a pleasantly persistent finish. Perfect for celebrating special occasions, this bubble seems to have been created to accompany fish, shellfish and white meat dishes. A wine that enhances the flavours of Mediterranean cuisine and conquers with its personality.

There are those who celebrate their wedding anniversary with a bouquet of roses and those who, less predictably, take the opportunity of their anniversary to create a unique and new wine. This is the case of Count Giuseppe Tasca who created this Nozze D'Oro in 1984, to celebrate half a century of life at the side of his beloved Franca. A marriage of love, the one between the Count and the Countess, which recalls that between the Inzolia and Sauvignon, protagonists of this innovative blend. A cut, as they say in the jargon, still extraordinarily current. The Inzolia, in fact, gives structure and fullness to the wine. The Sauvignon adds pleasant aromatic notes and above all a hint of acidity that makes it age for a really long time. Try it, to believe it!

Chateau D'Esclans Rock Angel Côtes de Provence Rosé AOC is an elegant rosé from the South of France, made mainly from Grenache, Cinsault and Rollo, or rather Vermentino, grapes. Rock Angel is partially fermented in large oak barrels. Thus, it is not the classic washed-out rosé with little personality. On the contrary, this wine presents a complex and structured flavor profile. Delicate red fruit aromas stand out there, with mineral, floral and spicy notes. Then hints of noble wood that add a texture all its own to the sip. Fresh, rich and gritty, it enjoys a nice long, silky finish. A premium rosé, fabulous as an aperitif but also perfect for pairing with a wide range of dishes, fish but also meat. Also try it with the delicately spiced dishes of Asian cuisine.

This bubbly of great character was born in an area rich in history and biodiversity. We are located in the heart of Trentino, a region famous for the variety of its soils, which vary from valley to valley, offering a unique combination of basaltic, porphyritic and schist soils. These special soil conditions, combined with the Alpine climate with large temperature variations between day and night, give the grapes distinctive characteristics. Conti d'Arco's TrentoDoc Brut comes from vines grown on well-exposed and ventilated slopes that therefore benefit from perfect ripeness. Produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, the noble French grape variety is able to express its elegance and finesse at its best here, thanks to the region's unique climatic and geological conditions. A classic method, the grapes are hand-picked to ensure the integrity of the fruit and subjected to a gentle pressing to extract the free-run juice. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks during the autumn, followed by bottle fermentation the following spring. During this phase, the wine slowly re-ferments in contact with the yeasts for at least 24 months, developing complexity and finesse. Disgorgement and dosage complete the process, giving the wine balance and a slight softness. To the eye, Conti d'Arco's TrentoDoc Brut has a pale straw colour and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it stands out for its fresh and fruity aromas, with notes of green apple, citrus and white flowers. In the mouth, it is harmonious, characterised by a pleasant acidity that gives it freshness and a taste persistence that invites one to take the next sip. A versatile and satisfying wine, this sparkling wine lends itself well as an aperitif, thanks to its freshness, but is also suitable to accompany a seafood menu, from raw to more elaborate dishes, such as tuna tartare, swordfish carpaccio or a refined seafood risotto.

A geological mosaic that gives the finished wine minerality and complexity. The climate is a cool mountain one, with considerable temperature fluctuations that favour a slow and gradual ripening of the grapes. Conti d'Arco's Trento DOC Rosé Brut is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Metodo Classico, the grapes are harvested by hand and processed with the utmost care to preserve their freshness and fragrance. During the following spring, the base wine is re-fermented in the bottle and matured on the lees for at least 24 months. It comes from vineyards located in the commune of Montalcino, at an altitude ranging between 240 and 360 metres above sea level. Barbera d'Asti DOCG Solo Acciaio, a destiny of territory and at the same time a wine to be enjoyed until the last sip. Montalbera has built a bridge that unites 6 generations of winemakers and two of the most dedicated Italian territories in winemaking: Langhe and Monferrato. Barbera d'Asti DOCG Montalbera is an ode to its roots, a tailor-made dress sewn on the desires and expectations of the most sincere enthusiasts. The refinement in steel and the period of rest in the bottle contribute to make this wine fully successful and inviting. The red-purple colour is alive with violet reflections when young and then changes over time in favour of different tones, all waiting to be discovered. The nose gives full, powerful sensations, with characteristic hints of blueberry and black cherry jam. Balanced on the palate, with the right acidity, harmonious and persistent: the fruits picked in the bouquet return as full, enveloping and defined aromas. Barbera d'Asti DOCG Solo Acciaio Montalbera lends itself to important pairings, especially with red meat dishes. It is a wine that smells of tradition, and at the same time a successful and exquisitely modern reinterpretation: an alchemy that attests to the quality of Montalbera's work, the bottle to uncork when passion demands it.
