Pots are made from Scandinavian Redwood and it is treated in an oil-based preservative. All pots come assembled except raised beds where you need to fix legs. Your pots are supplied with one coat of the 'Taylor Brown' oil-based preservative. To help protect and extend the life of your planter we strongly recommend that you apply another coat every 6-12 months. Wood is a natural product and may expand and retract depending on the weather conditions therefore we can not be held responsible for cracking, splitting, warping, and shrinkage as this is a natural occurrence, because of this it may be necessary to check the tightness of the bolts/screws. Resin is occasionally present in the timber and is no detriment, should this appear simply wipe with a cloth/white spirit. HORTICO
