Kheirè is a word of Greek origin meaning Welcome. A white from Grillo grapes, it is a fine wine of the territory. In fact, this vine was once used almost exclusively for the production of the famous Marsala, while in the last 20 years it has been gradually enhanced thanks to its surprising aromatic richness. Today, in fact, it is increasingly processed in purity to enhance the richness of the fruit and give life to pleasantly territorial wines. Kheirè is Gorghi Tondi's homage to the thousand-year history of Sicily and to the time when the island was an integral part of the glorious Magna Graecia. It is the family's first and most important white wine, produced from the best selection of Grillo grapes grown on our estate overlooking the Mediterranean. A structured and long-lived white wine, with a partial passage in French oak barriques. In the glass it has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and persistent, with fresh citrus and mineral notes, frangipane, ginger, yellow-fleshed fruit and a hint of vanilla. In the mouth it is harmonious and of rare pleasantness. The slightly saline finish makes us feel at the seaside even though we are in the city.

Coste a Preola. This is the name of the vineyards on the western edge of the island, close to the Mediterranean Sea, in an area bordering the WWF Nature Reserve Lago Preola e Gorghi Tondi. A 100% Nero d'Avola, this wine is made from grapes grown in south-western Sicily, between Mazara del Vallo and Trapani, at an altitude of around 25 metres above sea level. A certified organic red, the grapes of the Coste a Preola Nero d'Avola come from a 12-year-old vineyard. Harvesting takes place during the second ten days of September. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they are immediately sent for processing. The must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature, with a maceration period of about 2 weeks. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation also takes place and the wine thus obtained matures in steel, in contact with its fine lees, for about 7 months before bottling. In the glass it has a beautiful bright ruby red colour with violet hues. The nose reveals good complexity, a sweet spiciness with hints of black cherry and small berries. In the mouth it is rich, intense and soft. Justly tannic, it reveals an excellent persistence. Excellent with grilled red meat, game, truffle dishes, spicy and mature cheeses.

This Rajah of Tenuta Gorghi Tondi is a wine that amazes. It is surprising for its contrasts due to the vinification of a grape variety, such as Zibibbo, which is normally used to produce sweet wines. Just bring your nose close to the glass, and not even that close, to see immediately clear notes of citrus, such as citron and especially bergamot, but also orange blossom. In the mouth it is aromatic and enveloping; after the first sip, you discover a wine of absolute pleasantness. Maremeo is a blend from white grapes. A fresh and carefree wine inspired by the joyfulness of the foam of the Mediterranean Sea. A fragrant, marine wine, to sip in company while gazing at the horizon. Perfect for summer and a life on holiday! Terre Siciliane IGP, Marameo by Tenuta Gorghi Tondi is made from grapes from south-western Sicily, the Trapani countryside, and the Belice Valley. Specifically, it is a blend of local and international white grapes, Sauvignon blanc, Catarratto and Traminer aromatico, in different percentages depending on the vintage. From young vines, harvested between the second and third decade of August. In the cellar, the grapes are immediately subjected to a soft pressing and the must is fermented in steel at a controlled temperature. The resulting wine then matures in steel tanks, in contact with its fine lees, for at least five months before bottling. Finally, it rests a few more months in the bottle before going to market. In the glass, Maremeo has a beautiful pale golden colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, semi-aromatic Sauvignon notes, with hints of lime and passion fruit, together with peach and a light spicy note. In the mouth, however, it is perfectly balanced. It is fresh and fragrant, with lively acidity and good persistence. Perfect with vegetable soups, fresh cheeses, ricotta and goat cheese. Also suitable with shellfish and white meats.

Spassoso is an interesting red wine made from a blend of partially dried red grapes. An intriguing and fruity wine offered here by Tenuta Gorghi Tondi. The beautiful, colourful label evokes a multifaceted, typically Sicilian exuberance. A collage of images combining art, nature, tradition, music, passion and conviviality. Spassoso is a 'complex' wine from a production point of view, but easy and accessible for neophytes and enthusiasts. Terre Siciliane IGP, the grapes come from south-western Sicily. Local and international black grapes, with Nero d'Avola, Syrah and Perricone in different percentages depending on the vintage. The vines, which are about 16 years old, are located in a hilly area, well exposed to ventilation and characterised by good temperature excursions between day and night. Harvesting takes place in the third decade of September. The 15-20% of the harvested grapes (the Perricone portion) are left to dry for about ten days in the fruttaio, and then vinified separately. The must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature, with maceration lasting 10 days. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation begins and the wine thus obtained matures in steel, in contact with its fine lees, for about 5 months before meeting the bottle. Brilliant ruby colour with purple hues, the nose recalls morello cherries, black mulberries and plums. In the mouth, however, it is intense, slightly spicy, pleasantly persistent. With a good tannic texture. It goes well with cold cuts and cheese boards, grilled red meats.

After harvesting, the grapes are soon brought to the winery to begin the delicate transformation phase. The must ferments in steel tanks, at a controlled temperature, and the resulting wine matures, again in steel, in contact with its fine lees, for about 5 months before bottling. In the glass it has a beautiful bright yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is elegant, intense, with marked and complex varietal notes. In particular, notes of passion fruit, mint, pineapple and white peach are recognisable. In the mouth, however, it reveals excellent balance. Full, rich and fragrant, it reveals a fresh acidity and good persistence. Particularly recommended with raw fish and shellfish appetisers, it is also excellent with fish soups, baked fish and vegetable timbales.
