A very special wine, the result of a skilful blend of Catarratto grapes for the most part, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon and even a hint of aromatic Traminer. Is it ever possible to conceive a wine as pandering as this one ‘ In the glass it is a beautiful straw yellow colour with clear greenish reflections that immediately bring us back to the cool climate of the hillside vineyards from which the grapes used to produce this wine come. The nose is appropriately broad and varied. It goes from the finer notes of grapefruit and green apple, to the sweeter and more pungent notes of tropical fruits, such as pineapple or mango. The mouthfeel is fresh, pleasantly soft but above all rich. The finish lingers on for a long time, making each sip even more enjoyable.

Only when the Syrah grapes reach perfect ripeness on the Sallier de la Tour estate are they harvested and carefully selected to give life to one of the estate's most representative wines. Fermentation in steel tanks for 15 days at a controlled temperature between 25 and 30 degrees. Malolactic fermentation carried out completely to make the wine even more rounded and smooth. Then a long period of aging, for over a year in French oak barrels followed by another 6 months (minimum) in bottle. The result of all this work is a very pleasant red wine with a variegated olfactory profile and a recognizable hint of spice and black pepper.

Curiosity: this wine is dedicated to Richard Wagner, who in 1881 completed the drafting of the third act of "Parsifal", right in the garden of Villa Tasca in Palermo. In the glass it is a beautiful deep ruby red colour. The nose contains vegetable notes, with typical Cab Sauvignon notes of bell pepper and tomato leaf, which are joined by the more typical Nero d'Avola recognitions such as red fruit. In the mouth it is powerful and structured, thanks to the moderate passage in wood that also gives it a long and pleasant finish.

Etna is the new Eden of Sicilian wine. The great volcano that dominates the eastern side of the island not only offers an unparalleled wealth of soils, but also provides unique climatic conditions. Climbing its slopes, the stifling heat of Sicily gives way to a decidedly milder climate. The summit of the volcano is often even covered with snow and the grapes grown here enjoy an ideal temperature range between day and night which prolongs the ripening period, ensuring the development of aromas and flavours. The family of Count Tasca also owns some vineyards on the volcano. Here excellent wines are produced from vines native to Etna. Like this Ghiaia Nera that expresses all the impetuosity of the estate's youngest vineyards, cultivated with Nerello Mascalese grapes. The result is a dry and elegant red, characterized by a light ruby colour and an absolutely incredible bouquet, dominated by crunchy and tasty red fruits, sweet spices and an interesting mineral note that immediately brings to mind the tongues of lava that slowly descend the slopes of the volcano. On the palate it is fresh and juicy. Rich but not opulent. Balanced and pleasant from the first sip.
