100% Muscat from a single vineyard located in the commune of Chambave. We find ourselves in a decidedly unusual setting for a vineyard, as the Alps frame the horizon and the vines grow thanks to the sun, which manages to warm the soil during the day. At around 700 metres above sea level and here, especially in spring, the temperature drops more than a few degrees at night and slows down the ripening cycle of the grapes. Which thus arrives at the moment of harvesting calmly, enriching itself in the meantime with sugar and aromas, without losing acidity and freshness. From a raw material of this level, it is easy to imagine that the wine produced is one to be remembered. And, in fact, it only takes a few seconds to realize that we are not in the presence of the usual glass of white. The long battonage to which it is subjected during the refinement phase in steel makes this wine particularly rich and intense. In the glass it has a beautiful bright yellow colour. On the nose, powerful notes of exotic fruit, white flowers with hints of fresh grass and acacia flowers stand out. In the mouth it is super fresh, thanks also to a pleasant sapidity that makes it immediate and pleasant to drink. Perfect as an unconventional aperitif, it is also a perfect match for a vegetable soup or seafood risotto. It could not be any more versatile than that...

Every Italian region prides itself on its indigenous, i.e. typical, grape varieties. The Valle d'Aosta is no exception, despite (or perhaps thanks to) its particular Alpine location. Among these is the black grape Fumin, which is cultivated throughout the central valley, along the banks of the river, and up to an altitude of over 600 metres. Its particular name probably derives from the bluish bloom that covers its ripe berries and makes them look almost smoky. Anselmet offers it here in a very special version, élevé en fût de chêne, matured in oak barrels. A pure Fumin, after the classic red vinification, the wine is in fact aged in French oak barrels for a period of no less than 18 months. We thus discover a beautiful wine characterised by a ruby red colour, with evident purple reflections. An intriguing wine, it reveals particular aromas of embers and berries. In the mouth it is dense, thanks also to the high alcohol content, and well structured. Justly tannic, it has a long, pleasant finish that brings to mind notes of Mediterranean herbs and officinal plants. It is the right wine to accompany tasty meat dishes. Excellent with cheese escalopes or, for lovers of regional combinations, with the classic fondue.

100% Chardonnay. But no ordinary grapes. Only the best grapes from two individual plots in the communes of Saint Pierre and Villeneuve. We are in the heart of Italy's smallest region, where the vineyards grow by snatching up precious bottomland hectares from the high peaks of the Alps. The plots chosen by Anselmet for this white are now thirty years old, planted around 1989. We are at an altitude of around 800/900 metres above sea level, therefore almost at the limits of vine cultivation in Italy. Vinification is simple but accurate. Temperatures are controlled at every stage to favour the preservation of the best aromas, the finest and most elegant ones. Before bottling, the wine is placed in steel containers, in contact with its fine lees. It remains here for at least 6 months, during which it undergoes regular btonnage. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful, intense and brilliant straw yellow colour. The nose reveals white flowers, in particular chamomile, citrus fruits and white-fleshed fruits. On the whole, this is a decidedly fresh wine that reveals its Alpine origin well. Excellent as an aperitif, it is the wine that can tastefully accompany fish lunches and dinners. Try it with the classic spaghetti allo scoglio.

On the label of this wine, which is very elegant by the way, we can read: Vallée d'Aoste Torrette Superieur élevé en fût de chêneen, that is, aged in oak barrels. It is not difficult to imagine, therefore, what kind of wine it is. It is made from a blend of three different grape varieties. Petit Rouge for 70%, then Fumin for 25% and Cornalin for the remaining 5%. Three vines that do well in the Aosta Valley because they are not afraid of its cool climate but require excellent exposure to absorb all they can from the sun that shines during the day. The grapes used for the production of this Torrette Sup. come from four different parcels located in the communes of Saint Pierre, Villeneuve, Sarre and Charvensode. We are well over 700 metres above sea level and in some cases the vineyards even touch 900 meters. To the limits of Italian viticulture. Matured in exhausted barriques for 12 months, this red wine appears in the glass in a beautiful, dense ruby colour, with still purple hues that reveal its young character. The nose reveals intense aromas of spice, blackberry, jam and underbrush. In the mouth, however, it is well-structured and rewarding. There are clear notes of vanilla and incense that accompany herbaceous sensations. The tannin is there and you can feel it but it does not disturb at all since it is well ripe and polished. The finish is also long and pleasant, leaving a pleasantly fruity note in the mouth.

A creation of the house winemaker who has had fun blending some of the region's most interesting red grape varieties such as Petit Rouge, Cornalin, Mayolet and Fumin. These are all vines that love the cold climate of the Valle d'Aosta but reach perfect maturity thanks to the warm sun of the Alpine summers. We are between 700 and 900 metres above sea level and the great temperature range between day and night favours the appearance of intense and elegant aromas. Classic red vinification and refinement in stainless steel give life to a wine characterised by a beautiful intense ruby red colour with purple hues. On the nose the scents are those of underbrush and jam, while in the mouth it is full, with notes of black cherry that lead to an intriguing closure with particular blood notes. A strongly territorial red wine that requires a typical pairing. Excellent, for example, with polenta with cheese or a classic savoury soup.
