A historic label from the La Tosa wine cellar, this Malvasia di Candia 'Sorriso di Cielo' is one of the first still vintages in the hills of Piacenza. An expressive white of beautiful pleasantness, it does not lack structure either. Produced with grapes from the estate vineyards planted in 1992, the harvest, strictly manual, begins in early September. In the cellar, the grapes are immediately pressed whole cluster and sent to temperature-controlled fermentation in steel. At the end of processing, the wine rests in contact with its own yeasts for about 5 months, during which it undergoes regular bttonage. Golden yellow in colour, it is pleasantly aromatic on the nose, with notes of yellow-fleshed and tropical fruit, white flowers and aromatic herbs. In the mouth, it is enveloping, soft and savoury. Perfect for a snack with friends, paired with a platter of mixed cheeses and fresh cold cuts.

Freshness, light-heartedness and tradition. All this can be found in this Gutturnio Superiore Terredellatosa, produced by the small winery La Tosa. A blend of Barbera (65%) and Croatina (35%), traditional vines of the Piacenza hills. In this case, all the grapes come from the estate vineyards known as Bel Sorriso, Morello, Ca' di Terra and Bellaria. These are plots at an altitude of around 200 metres, where the soils are clayey and loamy. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly delivered to the cellar for processing. The entire process is designed to respect the initial fruit as much as possible, with processing in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. No sulphites are added to the wine, either during processing or bottling. In the glass it has a beautiful red-purple colour with violet hues. The nose expresses youthfulness, thanks to intense and fresh aromas of red fruit, violets and peony. In the mouth, it is pleasantly clean, full and energetic, with a fresh and fruity finish. It is the perfect wine for pairing with good traditional local dishes. From cured meats to stuffed pasta. An easy wine, but not at all obvious.
