We are located in the prestigious Bordeaux region. This is the birthplace of Chteau Sociando-Mallet, a blend of 54% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remaining 2% Cabernet Franc. Vines with an average age of 35 years. This balanced combination captures the very essence of the terroir. The terroir of Haut-Médoc, characterised by gravel and clay on a clay-limestone subsoil, gives the vines an ideal habitat to thrive. In the countryside, viticulture is organic and each stage of the process is carefully followed down to the smallest detail. It begins with a manual harvest of the grapes, followed by careful selection on the table to guarantee only the best quality. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled cement and stainless steel tanks, with pumping over and racking to extract the best aromas and flavours. Ageing takes about 12 months in barrels, 90% of which are new, giving the wine structure, complexity and character. To the eye, it has an intense dark ruby red colour, enhanced by purple reflections. The nose has fruity aromas, dominated by cassis and cranberry, enriched by subtle notes of green pepper, tobacco, black pepper and wet earth. In the mouth, it is moderately structured, yet rich and complex, with a long, lingering finish that invites further exploration.
