Should it still be needed, this elegant Brut Riserva from Letrari is tangible proof that Trentino grapes are perfect for producing Metodo Classico sparkling wines that can mature on the lees for a long time, acquiring complexity and depth. The base, as is normal, is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Harvested exclusively by hand, they are vinified in a soft way so as not to alter their rich aromatic heritage. Then, after creating the base cuvée, the wine is bottled and literally forgotten in the cellar, in contact with its own yeasts, for at least 60 months, to enhance its smooth elegance. After disgorging, one discovers a bubble with great personality, characterised by a deep golden but bright and lively colour. The super fine and incessant perlage makes the appearance of this wine even more brilliant. The nose reveals fragrances ranging from bread crust to vanilla tones, on a background of ripe apple cream and dried fruit. In the mouth, however, it is full and round. A pleasantly complex bubble with notes of ripe fruit, citrus fruits and spices. It has a nice structure and a very persistent finish. Although it is also suitable for an elegant aperitif, this sparkling wine should always be served with important dishes. Fish soup, lobster Catalan style but also white meat dishes.

There is so much grace and power in this interesting Brut Rosé, TrentoDOC, proposed by Letrari. A Metodo Classico obtained from the sparkling of Pinot Noir grapes, which are vinified in rosé, with an addition of Chardonnay grapes. All the grapes come from the company's vineyards in Vallagarina, in the province of Trento. After the fermentation phase, in the bottle, the sparkling wine is left to rest in contact with its own yeasts for a period of no less than two years. In the glass one discovers a beautiful wine, characterised by an antique pink colour, delicate and brilliant. The perlage is fine and incessant, rising from the bottom of the glass to the surface in uninterrupted chains of bubbles. The nose is intense and fine, with notes of small red fruits, such as currants, wild strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, however, one discovers a pleasantly dry, clean and elegant wine, with a delicate background of sweet almonds and musk. Remarkably persistent, this Rosé has a pleasant finish reminiscent of citrus, mandarin, pomegranate and cherry. A versatile sparkling wine, it is suitable with pasta dishes and risotto. It is also perfect with fresh cheeses and cured meats, and will not struggle to find its rightful place alongside fish starters.

Nasce da un tipico assemblaggio di Chardonnay e Pinot Noir e un processo d'elaborazione che prevede un periodo d'affinamento sui lieviti di circa 24 mesi. Colore giallo paglierino con riflessi dorati, nel calice si presenta luminoso e brillante, con un perlage fine e continuo. Al naso il bouquet regala richiami di fiori bianchi, agrumi, frutta fragrante a polpa bianca, oltre a sfumature di mandorla, frutta secca e crosta di pane. In bocca è ampio, con piacevoli note fruttate che richiamano le sensazioni percepite in precedenza. Armonico, di buon corpo e persistenza, è la bollicina giusta da stappare in mille occasioni. Ottimo come aperitivo, sulla tavola crea sempre la giusta atmosfera. Da provare con una ricca frittura di pesce.
